Know the scope and fee

Before paid work begins, I’ll confirm the documents I’m reviewing, the written comments you’ll receive, and the fee and timing.

What to include when you request a review

A short description helps define the work before you send project documents.

  • The existing lift plan and the type of operation it covers.
  • Relevant project or owner/GC review requirements.
  • The questions you want the reviewer to address.
  • Your requested turnaround date and any known deadline.

I’ll let you know what supporting information I need and how to send it once we’ve discussed the scope.

Scope and responsibility

This is a remote document review of an existing plan. Written comments do not approve or authorize a lift. The contractor remains responsible for checking that the plan reflects the actual project, site and equipment conditions and for making the decisions required before work proceeds.

Lift type, project requirements, supporting documents, deliverables and timing are discussed before a quote is issued. Mike confirms whether the requested review fits the service scope.

Questions about crane lift plan review

What does a review cost?

Before I quote the work, I’ll confirm which documents and questions the review covers, what written comments you’ll receive and when I can return them.

Can you review a plan remotely?

Yes. The service is remote and based on the plan and project information you provide. It does not include a site visit.

Does a written review authorize the lift?
